Inspired by the 365grateful project by Hailey Bartholomew. I began this blog on February 28, 2014, my 46th birthday, and challenged myself to take a few moments from each day (for 365 days) to reflect on something I am grateful for, something that brings me joy or makes me smile. Mission accomplished. Then 4 years whooshed by and I have started up all this good stuff again at age 51. Here goes...the goal is at least a gratitude post each week. Cheers!

Egg-in-the-hole
I recently taught Alice how to make egg-in-the-hole (sometimes referred to as Birdsnest) for breakfast because she loves eggs and toast. I have noticed recently more independence from both kiddos in the kitchen, especially in the morning when I am busy working in the dining room. This morning I was surprised to see Alice in the kitchen working on this breakfast she had made. Hooray for the little things that make my job easier! In the Fall, I think we are going to start teaching them how to make us dinner...

My favorite! I have not been able to get my boys excited about it though. Way to go, Alice!
