Inspired by the 365grateful project by Hailey Bartholomew. I began this blog on February 28, 2014, my 46th birthday, and challenged myself to take a few moments from each day (for 365 days) to reflect on something I am grateful for, something that brings me joy or makes me smile. Mission accomplished. Then 4 years whooshed by and I have started up all this good stuff again at age 51. Here goes...the goal is at least a gratitude post each week. Cheers!

Bob
Bob Ridgley is my dad. I am grateful for that. As I grew up, the times spent with my dad were mostly under the hood of a car, hiking in the woods, clearing trees from the land, or standing on a shaky scaffold as we worked on building our home. We split wood together and built bonfires in the backyard. He is hands down the most hard working individual I will likely ever know. I like his creativity, humor, desire to help others and his light-hearted outlook.

Perfect (and touching) description. Speaking of sense of humor, when I called tonight he said, "How ya do'n, Debadoooie?" This is such a fabulous photo.
