Inspired by the 365grateful project by Hailey Bartholomew.
I began this blog on February 28, 2014, my 46th birthday, and challenged myself to take a few moments from each day (for 365 days) to reflect on something I am grateful for, something that brings me joy or makes me smile. Mission accomplished. Then 4 years whooshed by and I have started up all this good stuff again at age 51. Here goes...the goal is at least a gratitude post each week. Cheers!

In the " things that make me smile" category.
I popped into a chicken joint near my office tonight to grab some dinner to bring home to the family. I noticed an elderly man and his wife dining at a table near the door. The gentleman's back was toward me as I snapped this photo.
