On Yerdle you post items you want give away. Someone bids points on the item and if they are the highest bidder, they get it...and you get the points. Use your points to bid on other items and if you win the item you pay $2 for shipping and it comes in the mail. The kids love it because it is like online shopping, and I love it because it is teaching the kids about the world of commerce and the value of stuff. The fact that they are clearing the house of unwanted clutter is surely a bonus.
